How does japanese fashion/clothing affect us today?

Well, japanese girls pretty much introduced americans to shaggier, thin, straight, razory hair. They also dress pretty bright, and colorful which helps the scene fad, and rave fad a bit.

I personally love the Harajuku style.

It also gave us Hellokitty and Sanrio.
